The beach!!

Hi, this is Jan! The blog part in quotations is the entry Erin started but she fell asleep mid-blog so I'll finish it off. The beach at Sitges today was beautiful and lot's of fun. People stroll the beach selling all sorts of things. Cold drinks and beer out of make-shift coolers, sarongs, clothes, sunglasses and even DVD's! It was a full on beach shopping spree! Erin was very excited to get her hair braided. We have mastered the subway system which is a great way to get around. We headed off on a late night adventure yesterday in search of the famous night show of the 'magic fountain' only to get there and find it drained and under renovations. :( Erin wanted to mention about Spain winning the world cup semi final tonight in football. Kaley's room is on the 9th floor with a balcony so we headed out there to watch fireworks around the city and listen to the all the excitement and activity. It's fun to be here for it! The photos of the statues are a couple of the many very cool live human statues you see along Las Ramblas Boulevard. Check out the guy without a chair???? We are off to Paris tomorrow for the tail-end of our holiday. Thanks again to everyone, for following the blog and for your comments. Erin checks it frequently and we all enjoy keeping it up.

"Kaley met us in Barcelona. She is staying in Scotland for the summer. Yesterday we went walking along Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea. We accidentally went to a nudist beach. I did NOT get nude! Neither did Kaley or Donna or my mom. We swam and went to the Hard Rock Cafe for supper. Today we went down the coast to a town called Sitges and went to the beach there. It was soooo beautiful and very hot! I have bought a couple of bathing suits because when you shop for a bathing suit you buy the top and the bottoms separate so you can always mix and match them."

More lovely pictures from Spain. I'm sure it would be most exciting to be in the midst of all the soccer hoopla!
We all went to Roca House & Candy Cane park today. Kathy is going with Didi & Mark to see Fred Eaglesmith this evening & Sarah is going to babysit.
We're all glad that Monday night is getting closer. Miss you very much.
Ranveig arrives Sat. afternoon & they'll be leaving at 6:25am on Sunday but they fly standby so hopefully it will all work out.
Enjoy your stay in Paris.
See you in 5 more sleeps!

Hi Eriny! I just came from a quick visit at the vet where Sarah is on her official first day of work (and she looks very official in her scrubs). I picked up some food for Chess & Peak at the employee discount price so I hope they like it. They are keeping me busy trying to mix up the menu and keep the food coming! I would observe the "statue" sitting on the chair must have a really sore butt at the end of his day! xo Didi

Oin, don't look now, but it appears they have braided spaghetti into your hair! All that World Cup action and now you are in France while the Tour de France is on. Great shot with the Eiffel Tower over all lit up over your shoulder. It's been a lot of fun to follow your amazing adventures. I won't be around a computer tomorrow as I'm off to St. John's to (finally!) get my family back, so... have a safe journey home!
